Betty Jo Johnson

	Miss Betty Jo Johnson, of Ashley, departed this life at the St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospital of Centralia on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 8:46 a.m..  She was 77.
	Miss Johnson was born in Oilton, Oklahoma on June 25, 1925, the daughter of James H. and Grace (Briscoe) Johnson.  Betty ran a beauty shop at Radom for several years.  She later worked at the Candy Factory in Ashley, then at the Hollywood Brands Candy Factory at Centralia.  Betty was a member of the Ashley United Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #805 of Nashville for over 50 years and a member of the Modern Woodmen of America for more than 50 years.  Betty loved books and was an avid reader.
	Left to mourn her passing is a brother, James Johnson Jr. and wife Ruth of Whittier, Calif.; a sister, Mildred Briesacher of Ashley; four nephews and their families; other relations and many friends.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; a twin sister, Bessie Jean Johnson in infancy and a brother-in-law, William Briesacher.
	Funeral services were held at the Campagna Funeral Home of Ashley on Saturday, April 19  at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jan Laws officiating with interment in the Ashley City Cemetery.
	Friends called at the Campagna Funeral Home of Ashley on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
	Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Ashley Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
